Yes and Val's Landing was right there also and I practically lived there especially during the time they had the motel and restaurant. Of course back then people from all over the country and world were pumping in a ton of money and keeping everybody busy.

Couple of years ago, Oakridge redid all the hotel rooms. I have never stayed there but the owners try to run a good business.

They have struggled to found people to work the restaurant.

Fork is not the place it was 20 years ago, not as much $ from out of towners.

Is there still a bar at the cove? If so, I'm out. The last time I used that ramp my buddy's truck was burglarized while we were out on the water.

It really does. My guess is the out of town revenue to the businesses is 30% of what it was 20 yrs ago.

Oakridge was a joke when we stayed there around 2021. Rooms were a mess, half the outlets were coming out of the walls, towels / blankets / etc. needed to be burned. The staff was very nice and the restaurant was not bad.

Next time we went, we stayed at Lake Fork Marina. Way, way, way better than Oakridge. When speaking with other anglers, they said Oakridge rooms got a facelift, but they liked this marina / lodge better.

We need the traveling circus to setup camp for a year and drop the DD's on the "Gram", "Tok", and whatever other socials are being used.

25 years ago when we first started going to fork, we stayed at Axtons most of the time because we thought it was well taken care of.

Lake Fork is so overpressured; average to above average bass fishermen will struggle there 90% of the time.
Unless you live close to the lake and can fish it regularly, she will beat you most of the time. Some may enjoy crowded fishing torture, but there are too many other good options to have a fun time.
