Thinks for sharing these. I love SOS over toast w/eggs. I keep it simple; grd meat mixed with pan sausage (venison), flower, milk & water. I need try these others for dinner.

The only difference in USN and USMC SOS is a good Navy Corpsman goes by the USMC chow hall and drops in a little fleet urine..........them jarheads love that stuff.

I remember eating this sometimes for lunch with my granddad. He was a Member of the 82nd Airborne and fought in WWII and Korea.

midrats were the best when we had this, CREAMED CHIPPED BEEF ON TOAST.

some scrambled eggs (only if they were real eggs), fruit and coffee made a good meal.

we did eat pretty good in the Navy.

we never got the ground beef version, at least we knew what the chipped beef looked like.
