try this take a raw chicken breast slice it in half but not all the way through take some raw italian sausage make a thin patty and put in between the chicken then put some fresh basil on top of that and then the cheese of your liking i like provolone close it up. in a 9x12 dish put enough of your favorite pasta sauce on the bottom to cover then put the stuffed chicken on top of that cover the chicken with more pasta sauce i like to top the sauce with mozzarella cheese. bake covered for 45 mins. at 350 uncover and bake 15 mins. or until golden. enjoy

Thanks for the recipe Kevster....we had it a few nights ago and it was tasty! I also made some angel hair pasta to go with it. Depending on the thickness of the chicken breast though...45 minutes might be a little long. I cooked it in back to back nights and the 2nd night I only cooked it for 30-35 minutes and that was plenty long. GREAT RECIPE

I tried this tonight and I must say it was very very good. My wife and kids loved it as well. It is kind of like chicken parmesian with a kick. The only issue I had was that the sausage did not appear cooked through, seemed a little red, but I ate it anyway!

you might of made the sausage patty to thick i make it only 1/4 to 3/8 thick try that and see if it cooks better.

Give it up the KEVSTER. It was good. I did choose a poor sauce so it could have been better. This one goes into the recipe box.

There is one thing me and the better half started doing with any chicken breast recipe. We buy jars of Habenero Garlic. She cuts slits in the chicken and puts about 4 or 5 in each chicken breast. It seems like it keeps the inside more moist and gives it a hint of the Habenero heat to the taste. We both like really spicy foods and it just seems to give the chicken a good boost of flavor.

He keeps bumping it because other people might want to see it too....if it bothers you that much...oh well. It's pretty good.
