Won't be ready until May 2023 but I will be renting the house next door to me, as a weekend rental cabin to anyone that may be interested.

It is a 2 bedroom house in a small cove on Cedar Creek Lake. Both bedrooms are master bedrooms with new Queen beds, both bathrooms are master bathrooms (walk in shower, garden tubs, his / her sinks, etc.).

It has a full kitchen with glass top stove and combination microwave / convection oven that has only been used as a microwave so far. Farm house style sink. Island / bar between kitchen & living room with 2 bar stools. Kitchen table converts to an 8 person poker table and a bumper pool table.

Sleeps 4 comfortably (one could stay on couch and eventually I will invest in a hide-a-bed couch)

Living Room with recliner, couch & 60" HD Smart TV with DVD player but right now, it will not come with satellite or cable but you can use your phone as wifi hot spot I guess & play whatever, might could steal wifi from me next door but not sure.

You can pull your boat right up to the retaining wall, tie it up and walk 50 feet uphill to the back deck of the house. (as long as lake is normal).
Private boat ramp is about a block away.

3 day minimum to schedule but If you call me and ask for one day, I will do that on a more last minute option. In other words if you call me today and ask for tomorrow one night, I will say come on. I will also schedule one day rentals for Tuesdays & Wednesdays.
$500 for Thursday at noon till Sunday at noon
$150/ night after that

Holiday weekends, P.M. me, I will have family on a lot of holiday weekends but check with me anyway, never know.

We are getting new beds and bedding's in this weekend, having some trees cut and getting the place ready for around the 1st of May. House is only 7 years old and in very nice shape. One of the rest rooms has never even been used (other than occasional guest using the toilet) neither garden tub has ever been used even once, one shower never used, etc.

me and my son want to come to cedar creek soon, we will nail down a date for him to take off work, and I will get with you to book .

just got back from our stay at the Elys place and it was an amazing short vacation,, the home has everything you could ever need its very clean, neat, and pleasant with some beautiful views of the lake. lots of beautiful tall trees and wildlife in the area.
Kevin and his lovely wife Jamie treated us like family and thier knowledge of the lake,and the area were super helpful .
cedar creek lake and the surrounding areas are a very relaxing place to go hang out for a few days.
Time seems to just slow down and everyone we encountered were friendly and respectful,. cant wait to go back and it was truly a privilege to get to stay there.
From the house, you dont have to go very far to find some great fishing,, its a great place to stay especially if you have a smaller boat and the wind kicks up during the day, you will have a large protected cove to fish in and it terminates into a smaller cove to park the boat in if you like, and not have to worry abt it., it is safe enough to paddle board or kayak around in but large enough to fish several days and never have to fish the same spot twice.

if you like BBQ, theres a great litttle BBQ joint called GOT SMOKED BBQ that has amazing brisket sandwiches and the best mac n cheeze.. check em out.

Well worth the money. 2 good size bedrooms with queen beds and both with nice showers and a bath. The place is very clean and in great condition with a nice view from the back deck overlooking part of the cove. Hosts are gracious and will help with dining decisions in the area.

There's no satellite or cable but they will provide plenty of dvds for you and you can stream to the Smart TV if you like (we streamed a Stanley cup and NBA finals game).

I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to spend some time at Cedar Creek.

What about a Monday noon to Thursday noon as I’m retired and dont go on holidays or weekends?
I do have an English bulldog will that be a problem.?

Kevin, I appreciate you having us last weekend. I can't think of a thing you could do differently to make our stay better.
The house was awesome, it was better in person than the photos. We are looking forward coming back early next year.

Anyone looking for place to stay will not be disappointed stay here. Kevin and his wife were great. The neighborhood is great and the neighbors are polite and helpful.

I'll keep it at $140/ night, 2 night minimum until October. I have 2 weekends in August still open and 3 weekends in September open. I have a neighbor going thru the Big D and we are talking about renting to him full time for a few months when his house sells, so, you snooze, you lose. September can be some killer fishing.

FYI, lake is low and probably gonna get lower, so pulling up to house in boat is about over until we get some rain. Unless you have some waders.

where is the closest boat ramp that guests can use? and maybe leave boat in lake during stay?

they give you a key to a gated boat ramp around a block away, really convenient.. safe secure, good ramp..

Right now, the lake is 3.5 feet low, so closest ramp I would suggest is Log Cabin (15 minutes) when lake is full, our private ramp is only about a block away and yes you can tie up and park boat at house overnight in the water too when full.

Kevin and Jamie, we appreciate the stay a couple weeks back.

The place sure was comfortable and quiet after a long week on the water.

There’s enough room to park a couple trucks and boats and Kevin and Jamie made us feel right at home.

yes pets are allowed as long as they are locked in a kennel when you aren't there. There is a small grill. We have a large fire pit between this house and mine that you can use anytime.
