They are the same lake, but it is a hot water lake that gets hammered this time of year. No trout has ever lived there. I have never in my life heard a true East Texan call it Brandy Branch. It’s Lake Perky and always will be Lake Perky. Correction, I believe the correct spelling is Pirkey Yep, we just say meet me at Pirkey and everyone around here knows where to go.
