I've got a picture of my girlfriend and a decent size bass on my cell phone but don't know how to down load it.

I'd love to share some of her catches, any idea of a site I could forward the picture to so I could down load it?

DBwoman...if you would like to get together and fish sometime let me know! I take my kayaks out around Austin or Blanco--can still get on some areas with a kayak depending on the flows. I mainly fly fish, but I have been known to carry a spin casr rod/reel every now and then (it's the Walmart special I got for when it's just too windy to fly fish!). I usually only fish with my boyfriend. It would be nice to ditch the guys for a day and fish with the ladies. I've got a few extra kayaks laying around that we could take out if you're interested. I've also got an extra fly rod if you'd like to give it a go!

Due to all the rain I honestly have to say I don't have anything to brag about this year. We got to go out Sandie fishing once in the early spring and that's been about it. We wore them out got lucky and seen them busting the top. It's sad when you can't even get a boat in the water because there's too much of it. Good luck to everyone one else.

Here's a catch from the Blanco River a few weeks ago...

Caught the 2 and 1/4lb. bass (my boyfriend bought me a boga grip with a scale for Christmas!) on my 5-weight fly rod. I know it's nothing compared to what the baitcasters can catch...but it was a pretty good catch for me out on the Blanco. Actually, to tell the truth, I was excited because my boyfriend caught a 2lb. bass right after I caught this one. Since he got the boga grips for me, I claimed that I outfished him because my fish weighed a 1/4 lb. more! \:\)

Thanks! My boyfriend usually out-fishes me (he's been doing it since he was 8 years old...I just started a few years ago), so I take joy in the few times I pull off an upset! \:\)

As I said to DBwoman, anytime you (or any other ladies that are reading this) want to take some kayaks out and fish any of the Central Texas rivers or lakes, let me know. Due to the business, I have a few extra kayaks around that can be used!

And DBwoman...no worries about being a newbie! I'm far from being an expert or that great...I just go out to enjoy the rivers and have some fun! Anytime you want to fish, I'm in!

I know this might sound dum but do you have to have some sort of license or permision to kayak? I would love to try it sometime. We have an inflatable boat and i practice my rowing on it. I mean we have taken it out to a pond a couple of times and i sat there and rowd my butt of.I guess I'm getting better!Don't realy know if it compares to kayaking? But I have rowing experience! -lol-

Not a dumb question at all! You don't need a liscense or permit to kayak...just a kayak, paddle, pfd, noise maker, and white light if you're going to be out at night. And if I can handle a kayak, anyone can! \:\) I fall off curbs while walking and talking and have even managed to fall out of tunnel hull boats on the coast (thank goodness it was shallow water) but I'm pretty steady in my kayak. The kayak I fish out of is pretty stable also.

As I said, anytime you all want to give it a try, let me know. I try to get out and paddle (and fish when the rivers aren't running at break-neck speed) atleast twice a week. It doesn't always happen, but I like to set high goals. \:\) I actually think I'm going to try and get up to Lake Belton next weekend.

Ladies, I just wanted to show off my wifes bass that she caught a few weeks ago. We were on vacation out west near Post, TX. The fish was caught on a 1/8oz white curly tailed road runner. We took some pics and released it to fight another day. She was fishing in a private lake.

Here is Melissa, my wife, and my youngest son Matthew.

Actually, Matt did get his hands on one. He caught this one the same day as Melissa on a different tank. He did it all by himself using a white curly tail roadrunner and an ultralight spinning rod. I hope it's ok to post the pic on this thread. Please excuse my ugly mug in the photo. Thanks.

Thanks gals and guys. Ya'll have some pretty impressive fish yourselves. I know those stripers put up one heck of a fight when you get them on. I use to fish for those all the time in Amistad as a kid...

Second place. First place went to a guy from our club who had not 1, but 2 8lbrs that day. Good thing for me that he could only claim one on big bass scales which gave me second place big bass check.

I actually caught it with a night crawler.
I was using a lure with no luck and decided to go back to catching bluegills. this one was sneaky. I was using night crawlers with a bobber.

Thank you SS. I caught all of them and lots more with Jackie Kennedy, all since Sept. 30 of last year. He's the best. Thanks to him, I have three state records and two lake records, and three of five Big Fish working towards the freshwater TPWD Elite Angler status. And I hope to break the Cedar Creek Lake and possibly State blue cat catch and release record this winter.

Great Janice, I'm very proud for you. That must be a great honor to hold the records you have. Those are some mighty BIG CATS you caught. I'll bet they put one fine fight. I've always wanted to catch some big cats on rod and reels. Thanks for sharing with us.

Went out with the new pink kayak and the 5 weight fly rod this weekend. Nothing near as big as some of these pics, but still loads of fun on a fly rod!

Always put the sun at your back when you taking pictures . Have there head up to get the light. Hold the fish away from your body to make it look bigger. Get all the person in the frame. Take a few and look at them and your get the picture. its a lot of work but the little extra pays off.

yeah, i know my picture taking isn't very professional, when i catch a fish i get nervous and all i can think about is putting the fish back in the water, tipical bigginer i know but what can i do, i would hate to kill a fish cuz i took to long to take a pic, but i'll take you pic taking advice, thank you

Well, I haven't been able to get out and fish lately, but here are some of my favorites:

The last fish I caught. This is also my favorite pic of me and a fish.

The coolest fish ever. This was on a project with US Fish and WIldlife on Texoma. I didn't rod and reel it, but it's still a cool fish...

A nice little largemouth

A day at "the office." This was a gator gar that was caught by a bowfisherman and we nursed it back to health and sent it to another aquarium.

Eh, I work with gar every day. They're the biggest babies of any fish I've ever seen.
