Hey time2gofish. Nice catch but, we all would have stringers like yours pictured if we kept everything we caught. You do know there is a 10 inch limit on Crappie in this lake as well as in the state.

Keep on fishing.

Not to brush aside your post there DB, but I don't see any problem with time2's stringer. Look like a nice mess a crappie to me. Don't see anything that looks like an under there.

Probably the saddest thing you will ever see is a mosquito sucking on a mummy, Forget it little friend!! :-(

Not only that, but whom in their right mind would post a picture of illegal fish with themselves in it? I know I wouldn't. Oh, by the way, nice stringer you have there.

One of these days I’ll stumble up on some structure and then I will fill my live well.

I dont care what you do with those fish, but I'd say at least half of them arent keepers. Keeping the small ones is why the spring run on the san gabriel are all too small. Nothing but little ones. Last march, the game warden finally got ahold of it and started fining people keeping the little fish. I'm glad he did. There used to be good sized whites coming up the river but not anymore. People are walking around with stringers full of 8 inch whites. Makes me sick. now you have to go to somreville to get good sized ones. Personally, I wish the game wardens would start fining everybody keeping te undersized fish and stop that nonsense

That stringer looks fine. Unless your whole family are giants. I keep a ruler on me and 10'' is pretty small. Realize that 10'' is shorter than the average man's shoe.

Ahhh, those are not whites. They are crappie. The whites in Granger have been some what small for some time now. That's why I refuse to fish for them during the srpring spawn. They all look like little perchies. I would rather fish some where eles and catch some megga whites.

Small catches are due to the over fishing pressure and mother nature. Some may lay claim to "Global Warming or Climate Change"...

As the area around Granger continues to grow, the lake will continue to change. Wonder what will happen when water is pumped out at a great rate then it is today...??? Look up stream at G-Town to see what effects that has on a lake.

fishytx - you might want to go out with Tommy Tidwell once or twice to learn a few areas...you will DEFINITELY catch plenty of legal ones plus learn lots of useful information from him. He's the "CRAPPIE GURU" of Granger!!

Heck, I'm getting ready to plan a trip with him again myself.

Time2gofishin,
Nice string and family too. They all looking goodtoome.
I Dont fish for whites and never have. But I do catch a good bit of them fishing for crappie.I Turn them all back, blacks too. When the water is muddy use scents.nibbles, spray,or minnows. They need to ticket all the people with short fish.

Yeah I know. Some how I let that pride thing get in my way though. In other words I like to think I can get it done on my own. You know what I'm talking about. But yes, once I am showed where the structure is located, then it's all over. I know how to catch fish. Catching isn't the problem it's finding them to start out with. I've got a few fish condoes I'm going to put out on Somerville later on this week. Prehaps I'll make up a few more to drop in Granger.

OK Snowy, I am seeing a pattern here. Just about every post you have made since joining the forum has been of a negative nature.
You are welcome to your opinion, but I can't help but think of something mama taught me at a very young age "if you dont have something nice to say, then just shut the **** up"
