Anyone know any info about the pond located on Rt 287S going towards Waxahachie before the 14th St. Exit? This small body of water looks amazing with lots of vegetation and reeds. I see some ppl fishing it but not sure if its any good.

This used to be the best kept secret in Midlothian. I actually was ran off this tank yesterday. I knew I did the wrong thing by entering it while looking at the no tresspassing sign but I had fished it before with no problems. The tank is owned by the church off of 14th. They require a $35 a month fee to fish it. To me, $35 is a little much for tank fishing but let me tell you it's worth it. I have fished it a handfull of times and caught fish right and left. I just threw back a nice 3lb when the pastor of the church asked me to leave. I have decided I am going to pay the $35 because it is worth it you fish often and live nearby. Let me know if you want the contact information to get your membership.

Just a little history lesson. The tank was built in 1901 for water for the railroad. Then it was stocked heavily in the 30's when they built a fishing lodge there. By the 40's it was just a tank. So basically fish have been growing for over 60 years. I'm telling ya, honey hole.

Any big carp in there? Hehe. I'd pay $35 for that, if they were big enough.
