*** thought it might be a good time to bring back up the subject of how to care for your boat-motor & other gear when it comes to freezing temperatures *** what-how-when do you take precautions concerning colder weather and possible hard freezes ?

As far as boat goes if you just went fishing and its expected to get below freezing or already is I would definitely let your motor all the way down after loading up to let all the water drain out. Also pull the plug out of the hull and let it drain as well. Dont want any cracking anywhere if water was to freeze and expand on the way home or after storage.
