Why are the fish so small now??? Need some advice someone pm me how to get some bigger ones please

Fished it yesterday from takeoff till noon, size was decent.. we had a 5.5 and 4lb fish mixed in with about 40 2-3 lbrs. Only caught 3 or 4 dinks all morning. We didnt do anything special, just covered water and power fished.

We didnt do anything special, just covered water and power fished. We did the same. Lost two bigger fish out in 35-40 deep. Set hook but not hard enough to take up the slack Both jumped out of water and tossed bait.

 believe it or not, but we actually caught the same fish almost a year later about half a mile from the original spot we caught him. First pic was November 22, 2014 second pic was October 24, 2015

There is a 2lb swimming around with my new ear eagle
In his mouth that the line broke when I boat flipped him today. 30 minutes later he jumped by the boat and you could here the blades chattering.

Not sure about that being the same fish, top fishs upper lip is much more curled up. Either way, different looking fish for sure!

Not sure about that being the same fish, top fishs upper lip is much more curled up. Either way, different looking fish for sure! MB check out the notch on the upper gill plate Im pretty sure that's the same fish. plus it was almost a year apart the fish was longer and about a pound heavier.
