Headed out Saturday from Park Prairie just to the right of the ramp towards the plant. We managed to find a school just off the bank in about 2-4 feet of water. We caught 8 in about 20 minutes, the biggest was 5.1 all off of KVD 1.5 squarebills. That 20 minutes was fast and furious, then nothing at all till about noon when we called it quits. We talked to some other anglers who made the trip because their local lakes, like ours, were closed. We'll be back this weekend.

Yep, same pattern for me. Fast and furious around sun up and then nothing. Some of my better days on the lake have been where I find them shallow then start throwing in deeper water where they are stacked up. Also watch the shad and mimic their pattern.

There was a Kids Unlimited Benefit tourny till noon Saturday and the fishing wasn't that great across the board. It was a great turnout and a fun time to get to take some kids out for half the day. I was only able to get 4 fish in the boat but lost a few right at the side. A lot of the field came in with only one fish. I had to drag plastics very slowly to get the bites i had.

Yes sir! I was there and am a witness. I knew Friday when I drove over looking at the moon and that beautiful blue sky it was going to be tough. We ended up with 3, senko and a drop shot.

Great event.

I caught 4. The first one was on a trap and that was it shallow. Caught the rest of mine on a ledge with a shakey head.

I hate going early in the morning during a full moon. I won't arrive till about 2 pm, then start fishing. The bite will go crazy in the last few hours of day light. Now if there is a cloudy sky with little to no light at night, next morning is good.

Fished 1/2 day Sun. all day Mon. Windy! Bite was non existent (managed 5). Spoke to at least 10 other anglers. All said the same, tough, tough, tough and has been that way for several weeks. Lake is in a funk.

This lake has been unpredictable lately. I know one of the fishing guides pretty well and even he is having a bad day then a good day. And when I say bad and good day, it's like flipping a light switch from good to bad, that's how fast the changes are out there on this lake right now and it has been this way for several months now. You hit it on a good day and you can do no wrong, catch it on a bad day and struggle to even find a bite. On a bad day you will fish your rear end off and catch one here and one over there type day.
Just for a heads up on something that has worked for me is this, when you can't find a bite on the lake, go to the intake, you will catch some fish. If the bite is supper slow at intake then it's good out on the lake. Or this has always been true on my end anyway. Spend three hours searching for a bite with little to no results, go over to intake and catch at least five to ten nice fish, just enough to make the trip worth the drive.
