Do you have a hard time finding the perfect shoe?
I tried on no less than 10 pair of different brands Monday.
I finally decided on a pair of Nike Reax TR3 SL and was mostly happy with my choice, but...
They aren't perfect.
I'm open to suggestions for my next pair.

Skechers. Since nike started sponsoring capernickel I don't buy anything they make. I bought a pair of Skecher golf shoes and they are the most comfortable shoes I own. I've had plantar fasciitis in both feet so good comfortable shoes are important to me. Try'em.

Go to a specialty running store that is staffed by real runners. They should take into account your height and weight, type of stride, footfall (heel striker, overpronator, etc.) and figure out what sort of shoe you need (cushioned, stability, etc.) Avoid the big box mall shoe stores. Try shoes on at the end of the day, your feet are a little larger late in the day.

Go to a running store. They will do an analysis of your gait and can help tremendously.

I just picked up a pair of Hoka One One M Bodi shoes after an extensive analysis.

I can now run the same distance with no knee pain and my legs are not near as tired.

Thanks for the info.
I've owned most of the major brands but I noticed several I had never heard of when shopping.
I'll give it a try.

If you are in Bremond there are a couple good stores in College Station/Bryan. As mentioned they can assess your gait, address any issues with the bottom of your feet by recommending a proper orthotic, and then fitting from there. Brand is far down the list when it comes to a properly fit training shoe platform. Once you do find proper sizing, fit, and brand you can order online and compare deals.

Funny you mention B/CS, I'm going today.
Are the places open?

I had the same trouble until I went to the New Balance store. They have a deal you stand on and it tells you the exact insole and shoe you need. I put the insoles in all of my work boots and other shoes too. Changed everything. They're expensive but totally worth the investment.

So to follow up I went to a store that specializes in running shoes and they studied my gait and determined I had over pronation. They helped me choose the shoes that were right for me and I chose the Hoka Arahi 2.
Very comfortable shoes and should provide me with the support I need.
Thanks again for the suggestions.

I've always wore Asics brand, but over the years they have started making a very cheap shoe. They will barely last 6 months now. I switched at the first of the year to Brooks Adrenaline GTS 18. After thorough research of best shoe fit for me, I am very happy with this purchase. Brooks has my business from here on out. #mostsupport&comfort

Im going to check into Brooks, thanks for the info. BTW, since Run-On closed in FloMo, is there anywhere that offers assistance?

I know I am a over pronator for years, so when I went in to Academy Lewisville, there was a very knowledgeable shoe guy working. He checked me again and suggested this particular shoe that I am wearing now. It is one of the most popular selling shoes in their whole line up. It is the most comfortable and best supportive shoe that I've ever worn. GL!
