info from my day on lake grapevine water temp: 67 degrees water clarity: stained - muddy
caught one small mouth at the damn with square bill - slower then usual. majority of fish are way back deep in all the coves and i'm talking way back deep. not necessarily shallow due to the high water level. all fish were pretty high in the water column though largemouth bass are staying very tight to cover.
if you are going to grapevine within the next couple days, you will get more bites the further back in the coves you go.

I caught one about 3.5 pounds. On the brush pile in front of Scott. Fish were shallow and eating.

smallie was around 13 or so inches and maybe a little over a pound he was a fatty belly was pretty tough on him. guessing the small mouth are just stuffing their faces with crayfish.
