If you would have asked me 2 weeks ago who would win this game, I would've said Jacksonville, and it probably won't be close. That may still be the case, but the Jaguars have shown a few chinks in the armor the last couple of weeks, losing by a combined 49 pts. However, Houston doesn't has the kind of offense that can take advantage of Jacksonville defensively, so if the Texans hope to win this one it's probably gonna have to be with defense and special teams. Dallas beat Jacksonville by pounding them with Elliot and Prescott, who combined for almost 200 yards. Lamar Miller is not in Elliot's league as an rb and the Texans can't afford to expose Watson to any more hits than he has already taken. Watson has been asked to carry the offense, but has been getting punished weekly behind a porous o-line. Although he is more mobile than most Qb's in the league, Watson leads the leauge in times sacked (25) and Qb hits (65 no other team has more than 50) and it's starting to show up on the field mentally and physically. Watson comes into the game with chest and lung injuries suffered against Dallas two weeks ago and he's starting to have a few more "deer in the headlights" moments as the sacks and hits pile up. Jacksonville has struggled to move the ball the last two weeks after falling behind early had trying to play catch-up, which is something this team was not built to do. That will not be the case this week. Look for the Jags to blitz early and often and force Watson into more mistakes. Jacksonville beat Houston by a combined total of 60 points last year, so I figured this one to open at least -6 or 7 for the home team, but the line is 4.5 and has stayed there all week. That seems a little low for a team that also made it to the AFC Conference Championship game last year. Houston has won their last three (as predicted here) to climb back to .500 and is tied atop the AFC South. Jacksonville has lost their last two, getting blown out by both K.C. and Dallas. I see this one being a low scoring defensive battle which usually favors the dog, but in the Jeckyll and Hyde league the NFL has become there are too many other games that are more attractive to throw too much at this one. I'll take Houston +175 on a flyer and parley it with a couple of other dogs on the M.L. to make it interesting. Go Texans!!!

Watson is the most exciting to watch player in the NFL If Houston protects him with a great O-line; Houston could be a consistent contender for many years

I agree PS You are not supposed to say chinks in the armor these days Since when? Did Elizabeth Warren join the team? There are no Asians on the Jax def. Watson is a very good Qb, Just don't want O'Brian to turn him into the next David Carr, that was painful to watch! Miami next week on Thursday night at home, NRG should be rockin. Texans to tha Supa Bowl! LOL!

I wince every time Watson takes a hit. I would hate to see him go down due to a lack of protection. The first half was all Texans the second half was mostly Jags. I'm still waiting on one game that the Texans play all 4 quarters.

The Texans have Bill O'Brien. Just as Dallas has Garrett.

No wonder the Texans are in first place. Every other team in the division sucks worse than they do. That was two bad teams playing.
