Hello All,

My boat got caught up in the mess on Lake LBJ and ending up on a neighbors dock down the way. Any suggestions on who to call to lift this up and place in the water? Appreciate your help.

That stinks, looks like maybe not too much damage, maybe try one of the marinas, they have those work boats with a winch line on a lot of them, other than that I would google boat rescue or something like that, sorry no better help.

Dock builders have barges with cranes.

Definitely talk to your insurance first, that way they can't say any of the damage was from you trying to move it

Take plenty of pictures. Time and date stamped.

There's a chance it could be totaled. If the motor got submerged, or there's bad damage on the bottom.

Call your insurance and let them deal with it.

DON'T do anything until your insurance company looks at it. If there is damage and you move it there could be a dispute as to how it happened- the storm or you moving it. I work as an insurance investigator for several insurance companies and they look for any reason to deny a claim.

Id be tempted to try and cut the dock away. Its already trash and I cant imagine any crane that would lift a boat would be cheap...

get 2-3 of your buddies to rock it back and forth and check for damage...if there is any damage, take pictures(for insurance purposes) then raise the front end, twist it around to where you can slide it over that catwalk and into the water,,,, boats are pretty tough and it shouldn't hurt anything if you are lifting up on it as it crosses the catwalk.....
