Made a trip out to one of my favorite lakes with a buddy and managed to put a few on the mat. We knew it was going to rain and reasoned to ourselves that "the fish are already wet," but that didn't keep us from getting soaked. To top it off, the spot we chose was a little overgrown so we had to take the first hour or so to clear enough to fish semi-comfortably. No bigguns but it was definitely worth getting everything drenched and covered in grass and stickers!

Damon with his first ever Ghost Carp, a pristine specimen. Would've been the prettiest one I've ever seen if it weren't for the damage on its dorsal.





This was the second carp we'd caught that day missing an eye, these fish were looking a bit rough in this spot



The only buffalo we managed of the trip, a solid 19lber. This one took off like a carp, but as soon as I disengaged the baitrunner I knew he was a buff.
