So I went for the first time to Venice LA. WOW! What can I say but EPIC. Went with some friends that have been the past 8 years in a row and I cannot say enough about the guides, RJ Fishing and Hunting Service, Capt. Jeffcoat and Lil'B......what a pair of first class guys. We were worried about the Hurricane in the Gulf, had the water rise almost 3 foot into the Marina as you can see from the pics. We did not let that dissuade us! Water was dirty but we managed to find the Reds to limit out every day. Great time of fellow ship and fun for all and I cannot wait to do it again. If you are wondering about the trout, the bite was not there. The cold front that came in the day we left made the Trout bite lights out.....of course, but I loved hooking into those Reds.

Have fished out of Venice before. And EPIC was the word. We limited out before noon. Monster reds with a few specks mixed in as well as a few reds. By son brought in so many that he overheated and had to take a break. Two thumbs up for fishing out of Venice.

Yes sir, Red fish over 7 lbs pull like a freight train and make several runs. The people in south Louisiana are some of the best in the world.
The food is good no matter where you stop !

Couldn't agree more on the great fishing that Venice offers. Went last month and limited both days on Reds. Stayed and fished with Saltgrass Outdoors. First class operation all the way. Will return.
