Fished from about 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM and best five were about 8lbs. Most were on first few deepest docks in major arms. First time on this lake fishing and couldnt find any deep fish...

Chartreuse buzz baits or frogs. Dont be afraid to fish shallow with the lake full around ant stick ups or green vegetation.

Don't sweat the small stuff. It's all small stuff.

Out last Saturday (27th) from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM and got on a crankbait bite - nothing heavier than 2lbs. Graphed some deeper fish off the bridge pilings and a couple of main lake deep saddles in 16-20 but couldnt get bit on anything (Carolina-rig, drop-shot, Ned, crankbait, spoon, etc.) so I could confirm they were actual Bass - not convinced. Also stumbled on a couple of others old brush piles for a few finesse jig bytes.

Couple of days ago while traveling across a bridge on a sunny afternoon, saw birds (several dozen) heavily working a huge pod of bait - traveling towards the main lake? Pulled over and watch them for about 20 minutes. Hmm.

Committed to figuring this lake out...

Primarily focusing on off-shore tactics and techniques while looking for a better average quality of fish - explains my narrow fishing window. Trying to force the issue and suspect the fluctuating, colder water is not helping my cause...

Out yesterday from 10AM - 3PM. Focused on upper 1/3 of the lake where water temps ranged from 55-58 degrees. Water murkier than normal north of 334. Hundreds of birds lightly working each of the large, deeper arms slowly towards the main lake. Graphing baitfish @ 10-12' in 20+ foot all over the areas I scouted. Pleasant weather, brutal results. Two decent bites (spoon & 3/4 jig). Going to focus on the middle 1/3 of the lake next time out - have located a couple prospective offshore spots but about to abandon my offshore attempts for now...
