I'll propose a completely different path to the playoff and a way to satisfy the power 5 champions. Let's get real, the group of 5 will NEVER be asked to the dance, so let's just focus on reality. What has always made D1 football unique? It is the importance of every single game. The one thing that confuses and exasperates fans are the rankings, so forget about them. Rankings are so subjective they are really nothing more than a glorified beauty contest. Here's the only way to guarantee that every game matters; A team first has to earn the right to play for its conference championship. Then they have to win their conference championship. You now have your top 5 playoff teams. The seeding of those 5 teams would be determined by a selection committee based on criteria agreed upon by all the universities that are a part of the power 5. Then that committee would vote on a 6th and final team based on criteria agreed upon by those aforementioned universities. The top 2 seeds would have the first round off. Seeds 3 through 6 would play 2 weeks after the conference championships. Those 2 winners would face the top 2 seeds on or around New Year's Day. The championship would be played on the second Monday night following New Year's Day.

So the Longhorns backup QB in case Ehlinger can't go, and Butch gets hurt, is noone.

If they considered strength of schedule, Alabama might not crack the top 10. Good point. Good point? They play pretty much the same conference schedule aggy plays. So by this logic no SEC including aggy should be in the top 10 and they all play an FCS school.

See, here is the deal, if the sips really thought the ranking was legit they would be rolling around rubbing themselves all over, they would be smack talking, tsip paraphernalia all over, just impossible to be around. That's not the case. As dumb as most sips are even they know its nonsense, that the big 12 is a joke, they know the real texas is the one that got beat by maryland and that texas is gonna show up any minute now. Everyone pretty much ignores you now bud. Everyone here likes you. The gig is up my man. We all ride the WAWI is our favorite Aggy train! I'm telling you WAWI is a closet Horns fan, he post more about them than he does aggy and more than most Horns fans

With 5 games left to play all three of those teams are still in the running.
