A new manager won't do any good if they don't get him the players he needs to win.

I'm OK with Girardi. I'm not sure he's a rebuild guy, but he's got a few skins.

Girardi is cut from the same cloth as Banny, so I'd be surprised if they went this direction. JD is the real problem, not the manager. Bad GM decisions can only be coached around to a point. No manager can be expected to win major league ball with a minor league starting rotation. 2cents

I think you are being very generous saying they have a minor league rotation. I'm not sure they are that good!

JD has to go. Nolan Ryan should still be with the Rangers and winning!

John & Jerruh…..two big nemesis of mine! Too bad there's not an EJECT button for that. I would like to see some HC experience in the position. Girardi would work. I really don't think that he could help much, though...

Jon Daniels is sucked in tight with Ray Davis and Bob Simpson the owners so it's gonna be hard to get him fired but he's the one who has got the team in the shape it's in. Girardi is not the answer because he will be in the same position as Jason Garrett. Unless they get someone of stature like a Sparky Anderson, Tom Lasorda or Tony La Russa who demands control of the team and hiring it's just going to be more of the same and Daniels won't let that happen. He's baseball's rendition of Jerry Jones, power hungry.

I love Nolan, but he's like 112 now. I don't think he's interested in coming back. Neither is Tom landry btw.

Maybe when they get that new stadium built Daniels will loosen those damn purse strings. mad Its been proven a teams won-loss record is usually proportionate to its payroll number(usually). 2018 Red Sox are a good example. They have by far the largest payroll and will probably win the World Series this year.

Don't know what Houston's payroll is but the Sox gotta get through them first.
