My smoker isn't set up for convenient travel at all, so I'd like to get a cheap smoker to haul with me for the holiday seasons when we cook at relatives houses.
I'd like some suggestions on the cheap smokers.
I've never cooked on a vertical smoker, and would like to...and they would save a little space on the small trailer.
Impart some wisdom.

Why not get an electric type, like a Masterbuilt. No wood to mess with, easy clean up, cube design should pack in a trailer nicely.
Family is everything! Life is precious. We don’t have forever. We have now. This moment. We can choose to love our lives now.

The gold standard for vertical smokers is the Weber Smokey Mountain I have the 18" and the 22.5" and they are great. If I had to choose one, I'd choose the 22.5" For under $150, search for the Barrel House Cooker at brickseek.com Been seeing them on Clearance at several Walmarts for $124. That's what I would get for under $150

Bring whatever you want to use and I will bring my MES and I will take the challenge!! I have plenty of customers that will vouch for the quality of my finished product.

I got a Masterbuilt. I'm a Weber guy more than a smoker guy but I like it. Easy to load and temp control is fairly good. Smoke chips last a couple of hours without reloading. Good brisket, ribs and butts from it so far. Not trying to win a smoking contest.
