As Im sure most of you know, my main job is with the Tyler Police Department. I have been a Police Officer for over 24 years and a fishing guide for almost 8, but this post is not about me. One of my brother's in blue, Clint Gardner is in need of assistance. A little back story on Clint, he is one of four brothers that all work here at Tyler PD. Clint and his younger brother Kenneth both almost paid the ultimate sacrifice for our safety, both being shot in the line of duty. Both Clint and Kenneth healed from their injures and continue serving the community. Three weeks ago Clint was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Clint has small children at home and as I am sure you all know well enough, its hard making it on a cops salary. Clint will be headed to MD Anderson for treatment soon. He is also scheduled for surgery to remove the tumor, but need to pay almost $8000.00 up front to cover his deductible.
I am going to offer 3 full day guided fishing trips, crappie or bass, on lake Palestine or Athens. I am going to sell these trips on a silent auction, one at a time. If you would like to bid, I will be taking bids via PM here on the forum, or via text on my cell 903-780-4490. You can use these trips anytime through the end of this year or in 2019. Like I said , these are full day, 8 hour trips and the bid starts at $300.00. All of the money will be donated to Clint and his family. Thank you and God Bless!

Guys on the bass side want an open auction. I'm going to run this open auction for 2 days per trip. Let's raise some money for a very deserving guy!

I work for the National Weather Service in Fort Worth and lead our StormReady program, as well as do some spotter training here and there and have met many great men and women in blue who serve our communities around here and in our 46 counties. I have the UPMOST RESPECT for what y'all do, day in, day out. What y'all, first-responders, and FDs do are unmeasurable and to hear Clint's condition breaks my heart. Though I can't bid on this wonderful offer and what it goes toward, know all of you are in my prayers (little solace I know). Only thing I can offer (though y'all are just in NWS Shreveport's area is offer y'all at Tyler PD(Clint as well) to come out and tour our facilities at the weather office and I'll be happy to be your guide. I know it ain't much and doesn't help Clint's financial medical obligations(I personally know how those go), but I figured I'd offer 'something'. We appreciate our core partners and all PDs are just that! God Bless.
