Is this the forgotten stepchild of lunch meats? I haven’t had it in years, but I preferred the kind with less olives and more pimentos.

I was looking at that at the deli in Kroger just yesterday while getting some ham. Boars head calls it olive loaf, and I like olives, but it looked like they were in balaoney. Yuck. It was next to the pickle loaf

I haven't seen pimento loaf in years. I do see olive loaf and cheese loaf around, but it's to salty for my taste. I can remember mom bringing home pickle loaf. I don't remember what it tasted like.

I don't eat "loaf" meat, to much like bologna or hot dogs. barf

I love any food that involves and includes the words pimento and loaf.

Never got on board with head cheese. But my grandmother would throw down a nice pimento loaf lunch when I was a kid. With veggies and "Sandwhich Spread". And Lays tater chips. Not bad if you had been digging post holes by hand all morning.

My second wife's kids used to eat all my lunch meat, so I'd buy olive loaf and pimiento loaf so they'd leave it alone and I'd have Sandwiches for work.

How long do you think one of these would keep without refrigeration? Is it better than spam? I need some for a bus I am about to buy.

Vienna sausage is exactly what you want. They will keep during a nuclear holocaust. You can eat'em right outta the can, make a sandwich with'em or one of my favorites, dip'em in salsa. Helps to have a little root beer to wash'em down. Man if it wasn't so late I'd get me some right now. thumb

I am a Senager. (Senior teenager) I have everything that I wanted as a teenager, only 50 years later. I get an allowance every month. I have PU truck and a bass boat, I am blessed.
