I wonder why he didn't resign? Coaches are often offered this option so a firing isn't on their record. Anyone have the inside scoop on this?

Not much of a scoop, he was on his way out as soon as his brother stepped down. They have been horrid on defense both times he's been at Oklahoma.

If you resign in the middle of the season after getting thumped like that, it looks as bad as being fired in the same manner.
