It took a month, but Houston finally put one in the win column. The Texans will look to build on that this week with Dallas coming to town. Houston will need a big game from Watson if they want to get this one. He has elevated his play each game this year, but always seems to commit a turnover at the worst time, Dallas would do well to put a spy on Watson, as they have been burned multiple times this year by mobile QB's. Houston's biggest weakness is their o-line so Dallas is sure to turn up the pressure, Watson has been hit on %50 of his pass attempts so far this year. Dallas will counter with Elliot. While Houston's d line has been stout this year they struggled to contain Barkley two weeks ago, who has a lesser o-line. At some point Houston may have to sell out to stop the run which will leave an already shaky secondary vunerable to play action.
The line on this one opened at Hou-3.5 and has hovered between 3-3.5 depending on which book you go with (that's why it's always good to have more than one book). I always call em like I see em and in the NFL a strong run game and a solid d goes a long way. At this point Houston is one dimensional relying on Watson to do all the heavy lifting, rb Miller (if he plays) is 39th among all rb's and Blue is 3 yards and a cloud of dust. Unless the Texans can force multiple turnovers or score on special teams or Watson can play a flawless game, the dog will probably win this one outright. Take Dallas + 3.5.
