I am not sure but am fairly sure that no running back has more yards than Zekes since day 1, that includes Zeke missing 6 games, fairly sure he is leading the league in rushing right now, that sounds pretty elite to me.
No football person in the NFL would say he's not elite... none ...not one...player, GM, coach. It's a ridiculous comment. Youre probably right and it may be a ridiculous comment to you, but it isnt to me. And Im not a football person in the NFL either...just some schlub that loves the game, perhaps has unique criteria and makes distinctions between an elite runner and an elite running back. Some of my bias may come from the lack of effort I see from him, and also how people become so infatuated with his 100 yard game that they completely overlook where he missed assignments, or made mistakes that cost the team. As an aside, I was always taught to run as hard and as fast as I could to first base - even if it was pretty obvious I was going to be thrown out. He doesnt appear to be a run out the grounder kind of player to me. Lastly, I do think the game has changed. I dont think there are as many 100 yard RBs in any given week vs. what there used to be. I also think other teams (winning teams?) have changed their personnel focus to align better relative to how the game has changed. Maybe having the league leading rusher doesnt provide a team with the competitive advantage it once did...just bragging rights. Just two cents from an idiot...

Tank, LVE, Smith, Collins, Irving, Crawford.........Smith, Fredbeard, Martin, Zeke..... there's 11 that would start almost anywhere Yall are WAY overvaluing LVE. Hes been solid. But good grief. Slap a star on his helmet and you guys think hes the GOAT (LT). So far I agree. Will need to see a lot more to determine if hes stud or dud.

I think the Ewok is elite. Top 3 back. I would only rate Gurney ahead of him and maybe Kamari, but prolly not. The Ewok is physically a great back. But I still say hes a knucklehead that will eventually slip up and get in trouble.

I think your view of Elliot is skewed because he has swagger, and a chip on his shoulder, and you dont like it. Hes had a couple of poorly timed fumbles, but hes a good pass blocker, probably the best runner in the league, good pass catcher. Hes not perfect, but there is not another RB id rather have in the league right now. MAYBE Gurley, but im not even sure about that.

Saw, hasn't been a rushing champion win a super bowl in 20+ years, so you're premise about the game changing is exactly right. I see Zeke having turned the corner after last year...his teammates, the same ones that tired of Dez, have said as much.

Something I haven't seen anyone mention about Zeke is durability. He hasn't missed a game due to injury in almost two full years, as far as I know. I think Dallas is gonna get a lot of productive years out or him and that's rare with an elite rb. He kinda reminds me of a lighter Jerome Bettis.

No more 22's .... Never again. Zeke will be an 8-9 year back....his pounding will take it's toll. I'd pick up his 5th year option, franchise him the next year if he's still good, and then cut bait. Got his best 6 years

I wish we would have lost the Detroit game too, it would have sped up the firing process.
Like I said a few weeks ago. Let EE go down and see what that offense really is.

"It doesn't matter how smart you are or what a great leader you are. None of that stuff matters if you can't put the ball where you have to put it. I've seen too many errant throws in that regard, and then there needs to be a little more anticipation. When there's two deep safeties, you're looking for somebody to take the middle of the field, and that should be your first read if you have somebody who is taking the middle of the field versus those kinds of looks. "I don't see great anticipation on what a defense is doing and how might I be able to exploit that pre-snap, or as the ball is snapped." Troy Aikman .....one of Dak's biggest fans recently. On the plus side, the Texan's got a TFF thread with almost 20 pages....be the only time that happens until they play the Cowboys again
