Anyone have a report for Lake Conroe? I haven't been since February, how's the bite?

Been out three times in the past 10 to 12 days. Averaged about ten per trip but all small fish. Caught ten or so on a green pumpkin zoom trick worm fished on a shakey head. The remaining fish were caught on a Texas rig watermelon red baby brush hog. All fish were caught flipping shady sections of boat docks. Water depth 2 to 9 feet and around 84 degrees. For what it’s worth, it rained on me at least some on all three trips. I fished on week days and there were few other boats out.

Generally fishing is slow but there is always a few that find some serious sacks. You can definitely catch some smaller fish off docks right now. It's a little easier to hit the back spots on docks with the water being down. It seems wacky will out fish shakey right now. They are stacked up on certain sections of docks. Usually when you get bit you will catch a few in the same area.

Where they are catching the bigger ones like in the Angkers quest Championship which took 47.15 to win a two day tournament I don't have a clue. 5th place was less than 15# a day. 15# is a decent stringer right now.
