Doesn't feel that long ago to me. Not quite like yesterday, but maybe a couple of weeks ago. I remember A&P stores and Burma Shave signs. I remember gas wars when gas was 19.9 cents a gallon and the dude still washed the windshield and checked the oil.
Pretty neat video.

Wow That's how I was raised. Decade of the 50s and first half of the 60s. I had 55, 56, and 57 Chevy. You played in the streets and the cars looked out for YOU. School was reading, writing, arithmetic, English, history, and geography. Played with trucks made from metal, not plastic. I had erector sets, Lincoln logs, and lots of board games. It was a good time to be growing up.

Yep, remember all that ,I had the erector set that came with a 110 volt motor with little output shafts a on the sides, that you could use to power different designs, at different speeds because there were little gear drives all over in it so each shaft was a different speed. Well. I had it running on the floor, and our white angora cat walked over the top of it, and hid belly hairs dropped into the mesh of gears, MEOW !!!!! FFFFFTTT !!!!!!! I had to cut the cat loose from the gears and tried to pull all the hairs out with long nose pliers, but that motor never ran again ,.....
I never met a fish I didn't like,........
