I have to agree with this. Also with lower entry fees and higher payouts it should be easier for guys coming up from the opens. I'm excited to see what happens next season.

BASS made most of the anglers that left. I'm sure they will grow plenty of new superstars.

If by having it made you mean the chance to win a BASS Elite event without having to fish against the top ranked anglers in the world then I agree...

If the FLW roster holds as it is today, which it probably wont, this is the C team by a good margin.

Competition is always good for the consumer! With three different professional tours, each of them will have to compete for my attention and I consider that a good thing!!

Nothing is a given. This might open the door for some other sticks and they will be right in the thick of it again.

My bet is it won’t bankrupt BASS in one year.

If there's room for all three, which I think there is if it's done right then this is a positive move for every angler in the professional sport. BASS will recover I believe, and if they can fill that field I don't think it's in all that bad of a place right now. Sure they are going to have to get creative but look at what it has already done for the Elites in 2019. For the first time since I've started following the sport it really seems like you can make a good living off of your abilities as an angler, not as a salesman. BASS will create new big names.

And/or FLW. It will be interesting how many of those guys move over. FLW still has lot of their big names intact.

There has been chatter of this and everything seems to be pointing at BASS still requiring those guys to qualify through the opens for intergrity sake, this could of course all change if they struggle to fill the field. I think they will offer a special invitation to all former Elite guys like Charlie Hartley before they would start offering FLW tour guys spots. And honestly FLW is the stronger tour right now.

This. There's a ton of guys on there that have been riding lucky breaks and past results long past their expiration date on the elite series. I'm actually looking forward to the new blood. There are some absolute hammers that fish regional stuff that would not have otherwise thought about competing on the elite series that will now get a chance.

So with MLF having 80 guys, and BASS Elites liking going down from 110 to 80 or less and FLW reducing their field size from 186 to 150. So in the future their will only be 14 more anglers finishing at the top level.

If you count Co-Anglers (which not sure if anyone does) but then there will be another 186 anglers not fishing the top level.

Even though a new league started with 80 angler field size, this won't open up that much opportunity for new anglers. However I assume several FLW anglers will move to BASS as they qualify in the opens. And several new names will come up through the opens while FLW drops a few or no anglers as they reduce their field size through angler leaving on their own volition.

Sounds like they need to open up the doors to more college anglers in BASS! There are plenty of talented people to add competition to the superb angling pool! None of us Fish at that level, so always remember they are better anglers than you and I!

Unless they come from money how are those college guys going to afford the cost of being on tour? Most will be in debt from student loans.
