Went out Monday Oct 1 from 9:15 to 11:45 AM and checked out 4 spots, 3 of which held lots of fish. The northern hump of Drew's Humps was loaded with whites down on bottom in about 15 fow. Caught them on #4 Mepps. Checked out Campbell's Hump and not much there. Moved westward to Dam Drop-off, and it was loaded. Caught a 22 inch hybrid and some big whites. Then moved farther westward to Dam Ridge, and it too was loaded. Caught 4 more keeper hybrids there and a bunch more whites. Caught a few at Dam Drop-off with a #2 but did better with #4 Mepps. Jerk start #4 from bottom and keep it reeling fast for 4 to 7 turns. This is 1st time in a good while that I've seen this many fish on the dam structures.

Neighbor Paul J and I went out yesterday from 1 to 5:30 PM expecting to find fish again at Dam Drop-off and Dam Ridge, but they weren't there. So, we tried some other spots and found fish at Staubach Hump, the A-frame, Long Ridge West and Key Ranch Drop-off. We ended up with 89: 77 whites, 6 cats, 3 legal hybrids, 2 short hybrids and a keeper sized yellow bass. We caught them all on #4 silver Mepps. At Staubach and Long Ridge they were on top of the hump in 18 to 22 fow. At A-frame and Key Ranch they were in 12 to 17 fow on the slope of the drop-off. We were working the Mepps along and up from the bottom at medium to fast speeds. Here are some pics:

The water looks amazing in the first picture with paul and the catfish. I don't get many days like that. Glad to see you're doing well.

Went out Sat after all the rains last week to see how the fishing was affected. Fishing still good. Caught 50 whites, 9 hybrids and a 34 inch blue cat. Fished Carolyn Estates, Kevin's Point, Iron Wall Hump and Slide Hump.

See latest above report. Also, I'd try Long Ridge and Long Ridge West in 20 to 24 fow, Key Ranch Drop-off where it drops off from 13 ft into 20+ ft, and Merimac Point. Good luck!

We got on the water at 9:15, caught 3 first thing on Long Ridge 18 FOW on the east side. Checked spots on Dennis Christians map for the next 3 hours and finally found a school of magnum whites and small hybrids at Rock Pile hump in 20 FOW and caught 12 there for a total of 15. White and chartreuse RSR slabs yo-yoing off the bottom.

I think full moon made the bite later but couldnt hang around to see if my prediction was true. Tough day but at least I got to put the boat in the water.

Thanks for the advice Dennis.
