I need to spread .5 lbs of fertilizer per 1000 sq ft,how can I do this? 0.5 is only a handful. also my ph is 7.8 how do I reduce this down to 6.0?

Add the fertilizer to some other media such as powdered molasses to help spread it out. If that's all it called for, I doubt you would see much difference. Most soil test give separate values for N-P-K, which one were you low in? To lower PH, use Sulpher.

You will have to do some simple math. Need to know how big of an area you are covering and the amount of N in your fertilizer. .5 lbs of N from a 50lb bag of 10-0-0 fertilizer will cover 10,000 sq ft. at that rate
pH of 7.8 is great for most things. pH of 6.0 is low for a lot of things and can bind up some nutrients. Why would you want to lower it that far? Sulpher will work, but you will have to keep doing it to keep it there.

Bermuda prefers a slightly acidic PH is what i heard. My neighbor spread peat moss on his lawn and watered it. He said peat has a real low PH and can drop the total PH of your lawn dirt by .25 to .5 of a point each application once every couple months. I used miracid on my azaleas. Dropped ph down to 6.5 from mid 7s. Best blooms I have ever had in the 16 years since we planted them.
I may check the PH of my yard and apply the miracid for my bermuda on the south side of my house. the north has shade and it is all st augustine which should be good at 7.5ish
I am no expert this is just what I have been told and the little research i have done on it.
