The bigger question is how they plan on getting 30 something guys to step up. Qualifications wont cover them all so they will have to come up with something

They wont have any problem getting replacements. There are a ton of guys that fish the opens waiting for a call.

I wonder at this point how many they are short of a 80 man field? I think they ended this year with 108 plus a couple usually don't come back. But they have qualifiers from the Opens..
Seems like the count that will leave BASS is ~55. So about 27 to 30 sports to fill for a 80 man field.

Try more like 70 BASS guys are gone, I think <10 FLW guys will be offered.

Elite Series is essentially no entry fee with very nice payouts, now. A man could do well there with a semi-free ride. For at least a year.
Anxious to see who all the regional "sticks" are. The mystical men who could win it all, but have to work 60 hrs/wk. No financial barriers, now.
The next 12 months will redefine the future of professional bass fishing imo.

fouzman why do you hate B.A.S.S. ? It sure was a good format for what seems to be a lot of your friends. As I posted on another site, those guys sure didnt mind fishing it all those years. If they were so unhappy, they should have quit and got real jobs like the rest of us. I hope at some point someone on the BPT will come out and air their griefs about bass, because with the info out now it doesnt make a whole lot of sense to me. Sounds like a bunch of growing older fishermen that wanted a paycheck, instead of a having to win to make money. As a fan of the sport, I dont like it.
