Looking for info on surge brakes, when I take off the tongue slams but only when I move fore ward even when I slow down and then speed up again??

You probably have a bad shock in the actuator or need to bleed the brakes.

hydraulic actuator is causing that issue. possible brakes worn out, not enough fluid, or worn out actuator. I would start at the wheels and work your way back to the actuator. mine is doing it now, but wasnt a year ago. i pull my boat pretty aggressively with the truck. I have to do the same thing... gotta find whats worn out in the system.

Just replace the whole brake actuator.

Master cylinder needs fluid and or replaced.

Thanks I will check those items, just put new pads on last summer. They are still in good shape.

Did u bleed brakes after installing new actuator? M,use be bled good. Both sides

Replaced actuator and master cylinder not long ago... All good now...

Did you just replace the parts or the whole complete unit? I probably need to replace mine but have no idea what to buy if I just replace parts. Previous did not believe in getting and or keeping owners manuals. I do know that my trailer has a Buddy Disc brake system.

Just replace the whole actuator as a unit. They aren't that expensive and its saves a lot of headaches in the end. I've found that once one part goes out, it isn't long before another one goes out.
