Decided to make a scouting run up north. Found large schools of fish at 5 places: Spillway Hump, Enchanted Isle Ridge, Sunken Island, a point on the west side due west of Sunken Island and an old road bed on the south side of one of the Bird Islands. Of these only Spillway Hump is on my map. I plan to create a 2nd map to show the spots between Spillway Hump and the Gun Barrel/7 Points bridge.
Caught 10 whites at each spot then moved on. Fished from 2:40 til 5:40 PM. Caught 5 on a Mepps #2 and the rest on a #4. With a 4 they want it reeled horizontally and fast. Depths ranged from 9 to 18 fow.
