I fish just up the road in Seadrift. I fish as far south as Carlos and Spaldings, and I havent seen any major effects from this rain. In my opinion it has improved our fishing. our bays were very salty, and this rain has lowered the salinity as well as cooled off our bay waters.

there were a couple pockets of tea stained water coming out of drains from the back marsh with a slight falling tide. but it has pushed the shrimp out of the marsh and has sent trout into a feeding frenzy. at least from the areas I have fished.

good luck down in Rockport.

the thing you have to keep in mind is we (the coastal region) were in a pretty good drought. Yes we have had 20+ inches for the month of Sept so far, but a lot of it soaked in, and what didn't helped to lower our rising salinity. fish will leave when the salinity gets to high. I forget the numbers, but thankfully they have stuck around and showed up even better in a few spots because of the rain.
