I think Jacksboro is a neat little town. Several good places to eat, Fort Richardson is a nice place to spend the day camping or just enjoying the history, the bike trail out to the park by the lakes, and their baseball/softball fields received a great upgrade last year. They also did a great job on the square where the old buildings had fallen down. Now it is atrium like with plants walk way and places to sit. What is it you don't like about it?

It's not little (pop. 55K) but somewhere Port Arthur has to come into this conversation. Definitely a sh*thole if there ever was one!

It's not little (pop. 55K) but somewhere Port Arthur has to come into this conversation. Definitely a sh*thole if there ever was one! No argument here. Depressing, really.

Crossplains.....speed trap on 279! Goes from 75 to 55 to 30 then....flashing red lights....100% chance of getting a ticket on 1st day of dove season and deer season....no prisoners....10 mph over $167 and up it goes.....

I will admit , some of the worst buildings and residences fell in and were removed in the last few years. I used to tell the Kids when we drove thru , we were going to move there. They Cried. Mo

Rotan, TX is another bad one. My family's old ranch was there. Loved the town for sentimental reasons but there are some sketchy people there.

20 miles south = Crowell...granulated 1968...nice place to be raised during that time, but glad i'm from there now
