I know I am not in Texas but no help is available in AZ
I have a skykomish that I use in the Sea of Cortez in Mexico. What is the thinking on powering with either 2.5 or 3.5 hp. If I get the 3.5 I can use it as a kicker on a larger boat. The Suzuki is the lightest at 30 lbs. I have the Scadden std rear deck that will need modification fo gas but no problem here. I will run supports from the main frame under the rear deck.
Any help will be sincerely appreciated

IMO..... Put a good trolling motor on it

The trolling motor and battery are heavier than the Suzuki at 30 lbs. I have them and used them but the weight and having a battery between my feet is not for me. Also even a 55 fp push only = .1 hp
