They fined my framer $60,000 over some BS. They weren't doing anything unsafe. He closed his company and started a new one and never paid those idiots a dime.

I fully support OSHA and the wonderful work they do.

The funny thing about OSHA and MSHA, is they are both govt controlled, and they contradict themselves on some regulations. OSHA even has regulations in their book that contradict themselves.

Just like the EPA, OSHA was a good idea but the idiots have run totally out of control. They both need to reigned in considerably.
Fine the heck out the bridge builder where gross violations and loss of life occurred. Warning ticket or something for minor violations. Don't load up the workers with PPE to the extent they cant do their jobs safely.

Very valid point. Some of the stuff they have workers do creates more of a hazard. ie... arc flash. It has it's time and place but not every time you open a cabinet that has 480 in it.
