Why not just put the lights up around the house, leave them up all year, and plug them in when needed?

yep, and I look forward to it every year because it means I have to stop somewhere else for pool supplies. I was in there this morning and like always there was something to really get my day started off right. First this dude from Auto Zone decides to jump in front of me at the only open full service register, then the lady in front of him waits to get out her wallet and payment card until everything is neatly loaded in her cart. Which she actually did even need just like the Auto Zone dude. I saw him earlier in the store. He was pushing around an empty cart which was still empty when he got to the register. Cashier picked up a little green box from next to the register and he paid for it and went on. If people would use the thing that sits on their shoulders world would operate a lot smoother.

Women are the worst at the register. They watch as EVERY item is scanned. When the clerk is finished they act shocked that Now they have to pay for their purchase. Then they start digging in a purse (where you could conceal a dead body) to find their debit card. They can’t find it so they dig around until they find their checkbook ( who writes checks?) Then they write the check forever, then balance their checkbook. Put everything back in the sleeping back purse and ask for a cart pusher and finally leave.

Whether you think you can or you can't, you're right

I tried that last year. The city made me take them down.

I will use them sometimes but when I do use them I always have to ask for assistance. I just skip when I have bulk vegetables which is most of the time.
