Saw a show on the Velocity channel last night. They compiled the best super cars known to race on a 3 mile abandoned airport strip (one made for the space shuttle landings). Of all the super cars represented, they got beat by a normal Tesla sedan that seats five. I want a Tesla! Does anyone have one they want to get rid of for cheap? Im willing to pay bottom dollar. I want a Tesla damit!

Electric cars are the future buddy And I want to own one in my lifetime! Those super cars cost like 10k for normal maintenance, a Tesla car (with advancements) could probably run 20 years with minimal care. And haul some major butt! They didnt even bring a Tesla roadster out there because they knew the other $400k cars wouldnt even have a chance.

How much of the 3 miles did they need to use to call the winner? Did the Tesla have every one beat from off the line all the way to finish?

How much of the 3 miles did they need to use to call the winner? Did the Tesla have every one beat from off the line all the way to finish? Good questions. It was a 1/4 mile race. That was Tesla's strong point...very fast off the line. They did say next time they were going to do a 1/2 mile if not even longer. And it was also agreed by the people involved that the McLaren would probably win the longer distance races.

I'll stick with the Camry or the Ford pickups. With any of them I can run a 300+ mile track without stopping. How far can a Tesla go on a tank of gas? Not that it's got anything to do with the subject line, how much of the total Tesla build cost is included in the price the buyer pays? I suspect it's the taxpayer who pays the larger percentage.
Fishing, a man knows a serenity of soul and peace of mind that he finds in doing nothing else, and it makes no difference whether or not he catches anything. The mind of a true fisherman is not on petty subjects.

Thanks Urban. I've never been in a Tesla but I know the acceleration of Electric or even Hybrids is really surprisingly quick.

Team wolfs I had to perform. It took a minute to get it all in my mouth and another five to swallow it all.

The model 3 with the extended storage package has a range of just over 300 miles.
