Ive been following this sport for about 20 years now and I would have to give credit to FLW for making me a fan of professional bass fishing. During that time it was FLW on ESPN and with great on the water coverage. I dont think there is any more credit towards BASS over FLW for making a majority of us fans. Its been a joint effort for years with BASS currently taking the lead.

Not only that but the production crew that is currently at BASS used to be at FLW, watch any of the FLW videos from the 90's to 2001, its weird seeing Tommy Sanders and Jerry Mckinnis as FLW announcers https://www.youtube.com/user/Dollar714/playlists

FLW was surly on ESPN. I was only a teen but I would recorded every episode I could on VHS. All time favorite was won by Craig Powers on the Red River. That tournament had some heavy hitters and the show would do on the water interviews with the pros as they fished. I dont think the filming was live as it is now but incorporating the live dialog was pretty awesome.

Thanks for the link. I tried to get FLW to add these to their YouTube page a few years ago but had no idea they already exist. All of my VHS were lost in a hurricane years ago.

I just cant see anyone that got an invite to MLF/BPT that has ever watched MLF and All Angles over the past 3 years even consider staying, especially if they get to keep their sponsors. Regardless of what BASS is willing to do for a year

I could understand it a little if BASS matches the 3 year commitment

Johnny Morris is going to be the main man in bass fishing once he controls competitive fishing.
