Just took out a new to me boat I bought this weekend and it had an Ultrex on it. Dealer said theyd honor everything and make it right within the first 30 days...so I am not in panic mode or anything.
Just wondering if this is most likely a fried circuit board in the head of the unit, or something else. Anyone else have this happen and can share how they got it resolved? It was not in continuous mode either. When I deployed it - it just started running whether my foot was tapping the pedal or not. Remote was off. I really want this spot lock feature too that wasnt working. Hope the MinnKota warranty is still within its 2 year limit.
I know not to charge batteries if the master switch is not turned to off...so I could rule out that it was anything I did. This was her maiden voyage today and the Ultrex was the major downer so far. The SHO ran awesome though and love the Talons! Thanks ahead of time if anyone has any input.

If it wont stop it's probably the constant on switch. Most likely stuck in the on position.

Couple of things.
1. Do you know if it was ever synced up? There is a process you have to go thru to sync it up with the GPS puck. But this shouldn't make it run constantly.
2nd make sure the batteries are good. One bad battery will make the blue tooth act up, not reporting between the puck and the head of the motor.

Thanks guys...it was a small cylinder under the small button you tap to make it go. I simply had to pop it off and tuck the cylinder down further to get it away from the magnet. It was too close to the magnet and that was what was making it run constantly when deployed. Big thanks to Bryan Sartin at Sartin Marine for the education!
