Got to fish both Wednesday and Thursday this week. Fished Fayette on 9-12-18 and Dunlap on 9-13-18. The bite was AWESOME both days. Put the Kayak in at Oak Thicket and fished reed beds and stick ups. Found nice Bluegill and Redear at both spots. Fished from 7am till 3pm and caught over 50 fish. Most fish were in the 7 to 9 inch range. Had a few that were in the 10"range. Fish were found in 3 to 12 feet of water. Red/White Rooster Tails, and Little Georges Chartreuse/Black got the best results by the reed beds. Gulp Alive Minnows and Jigs Chartreuse/Black got good results at the stick ups. Water temperature was between 82 and 89 degrees. Over cast skies kept it nice throughout the day. All fish were released to fight again. Dunlap: Fished Dunlap on 9-13-18 and the Rio bite was on. Also caught some nice Bluegill,Redbreast, and Redear. Rio's were in the 9 to 10" range. The sunnies were in the 7 to 9 inch range. Had two Redear in the 11" range. Fish were located by docks in 10 to 12 feet of water. Rios were located by gravel and sand banks in shallow water. Rooster Tails Chartreuse/Black and small crank baits Chartreuse/Black got the best results. Fished from 9am till 2p and caught over 50 fish. Boat traffic was light and the water was clear in some areas and cloudy on others. Kept a few Bluegill for the dinner table and most fish were released. Also had to fish through a couple of rain showers. Love fishing this time of year.

Laker...Awesome...It amazes me that u catch bluegill on Little Georges...I used to fish these baits many years ago for bass...I would think they would sink so fast that you would constantly be catching mossy bottom scum...How do you fish these baits ?

I usually fish the Little George in 10 feet of water plus. I use a medium retrieve. The bait usually sinks to about 6 to 8 feet depending how long I wait to retrieve it. It's a great bait and I have caught everything from all six species of sunfish, bass, and even Channel Cats on the Little George.
