At one time I had the lake record, just under 7 lbs. Caught it off lacy point fishing for blues. Cut shad for bait. I guess you were the "Hybrid King"?

My step-father caught a hybrid out of Lake Waco back in the 80s that weighed 15 lbs. He has it on his wall right now. That was a great trip and we caught a ton of fish.

A couple of weeks ago I was seeing a lot of fish on my down scan towards the bottom at the old dam. They were nice size, but I could not get a bite for the life of me. I tried spoons, jigs, slabs, live shad, and even dropped some night crawlers down thinking they might be large bluegills. My best guess was carp or buffalo. It was killing me to know what they were, so I threw my cast net on them. I came up with a net full of HUGE shad in the 1/2 lb range. Mystery solved.

That certainly explains my graph. I was on the north side of the dam gates when I took those shot. Threw all kinds of slabs, jigs, and live bait with no result.
