I'll probably get flamed for this but choosing 9/11 to do this press release should have been more thought out. I think they did it because they had to many leaks already and felt like they needed to get ahead of it. They could have waited one more day though There was yesterday.

Today is a day for remembering the attacks on our soil, and the men and women that lost their lives, either innocently or by helping others. And your doing that today by posting on a bass fishing forum?

Since you asked I started my day with a flag lowering ceremony, some quiet time to reflect and a look back at some pictures and videos of that day. Said a few prayers for all affected as well. If you can't see the difference so be it. Like I said I expected to get flamed so no biggie. I'm a MLF fan and will still follow it but it just kinda struck me as today might not have been the best day to do this.

For the most part I enjoy watching MLF, but sometimes it gets boring watching dink fests.

Looks like MLF has more money behind it than FLW and BASS combined.
Will be interesting to see how it plays out.

I believe they will get 30-40 B.A.S.S. guys... which will hurt them. FLW is asking for down payments in October which is earler than prior years. I think they want to see who's coming next year to make adjustment where needed. I guess we'll see soon.

Just pointing out some of the irony as how folks interpret that actions of others. We just had a funeral service yesterday for a veteran family member. The funeral honors ceremony include folding, presentation of the United States flag, etc. Definitely a somber day today too.

IMO incentive to leave BASS or FLW is simple, major network air time and a fresh new format thats taking the fishing world by storm. One would think the major network air time alone would lead to more and better sponsorship opportunities for the anglers.

Barn, Very sorry for your loss. The rest of my comments are just my opinions. I doubt everyone will ever agree.

Another tour is good I think. You may see payouts and incentives increase to attract more anglers. I watched Ike live on sunday and some good points were made in regards to how BASS payouts have virtually been unchanged since the first BASS tournament, by percentage. The first tournament was $100 entry and the winner received $2,000, 20-1. It is still that way today, entry fee is now $5,000, winner receives $100,000 still 20-1. When FLW challenged BASS the payouts were larger for the Classic and Forrest Wood Cup as well, Now they are both $300k compared to once $1,000,000 and $500,000 I think BASS will have to change its qualifying to remain competitive and possibly lower entry fees, and add more incentives. FLW already went to no co-anglers, which many applauded. Each tour will be fine, they just have to adjust to remain appealing. Also, BASS and FLW still have their live segments during tournaments and live weigh-ins.. It would be hard for MLF to match that if they have 80 anglers catching, weighing and releasing their fish and its previously recorded. I like watching these guys making decisions live and on the fly unedited. Each tour has its appeal IMO. 9/11 Never forget!

More anglers live w/PBT? I'll bet so.
