Hello TFF'rs,
I have a fishing friend who is needing to tick a few things off of his bucket list. He wanted to go frog fishing one last time. He does not travel well and Raven is the closest lake for us that might have any grass or pads in it. I am asking if anyone has fished it lately, is there any grass and pads to fish right now?
Thank you

bring plenty of weedless fishing takle and heavy line... most use braid id rather use 17lb big game mono or a good F.C dependin on your bait choice... weedless frogs and riptails would be my choice

Lots of thick grass around the edges. The backs of the creeks are just about completely choked out from the grass and are not really accessible once you get back to it. Not very many pads at all.
I've been a couple times recently and have caught some good ones running buzz baits around the grass edges and also have caught them throwing a blue gill type swim jig and swimming off and around the grass edges.

Pads got poisoned out pretty good, but grass has come back thick. You can definitely catch some fish froggin there.
