Lake Fork around noon suspended in 22 FOW on a jig and craw worm. 14.19 lbs. What was she suspended on and what depth was she suspended in? Next to a large tree on a pond dam near the mouth of Dale Creek and approx. 5-15 FOW. Impossible to tell exactly how deep she was. Awesome! What a beast!

My 2 biggest fish, 13.6 and a 11.2 both came between 2-3pm. One was on February 28th and the other was March 6th. I think time of day is relevant to weather conditions and time of year. Both of my 2 biggest fish came on days when it was below freezing at daylight. My 13.6 came on the first day we had over 40 degrees in over a week and it was high skies, sunny and was in the mid to high 50's. The 11.2 came the day after we had gotten 3 + inches of snow and by noon on the 6th it was in the mid 50's and the sunny.

Mine was in the afternoon at the end of a day on Fork. Caught on a road bed in 10' of water in March but like JPurdue said there are a lot of factors in time of day fishing based on weather, time of year, water temps, etc. Example was on this day the bite got better as the day wore on and the water temps increased a bit. Where in the Summer, my experience is the fish tend to feed better at night or in the early morning or late evenings.

The two 10.5's I caught were both landed around 10:00-11:00 am best I can remember; both from tree line edges away from the bank. One was about 15 feet deep on Amistad on a football jig, the other was about 8 feet deep on Oak Creek on a 10 inch Powerworm.

Caught a 10.7 on Tyler back in 1989. Caught her on a Texas rig worm in three feet of water in late January at 11pm at night.

Caught my biggest 10 pounds around 9:00 am Sam Rayburn in late March on a senko around 15 years ago. Lake was 2' above pool.
Lost my biggest March 30, 2018 around 4:00 PM. 8' of water with hydrilla on a swim jig. 12+ pounds had it at the boat and lost it trying to lip her. Lake level 1' above pool, Sam Rayburn.

Actually, Raplf Manns had an article on this before, back in the day. Said more big fish are caught between 10:00 AM and 4 PM than almost any other times. Then he quoted facts of peoples catches on big fish. Statisized it, as he said. Interesting read, too. OH, caught my 11-8 just before Noon on October of 1998. Lake Lewisville hog that set the record, then, but KVD beat it with an 11-13. Lake was about 2' low when I caught her. Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.
