For crying out loud, a weekend supply of Natty for Derek and that thing will be captured and secured in his backyard for good. Probably will start a side business petting zoo with it. Florida needs to unleash the beast. No doubt. I'm cheap and I would go to the Glades and show them who's boss. I bet you'd have on a leash at the dog park in under a week. Easily. Went to Claire's tonight to power up after seeing the story. New manager at Claire's I think or she was cooler this time and didn't ask me not to try stuff on. Anyway, I'm ready to mount up and take on the reptiles and amphibians!

I remember seeing an episode of cops down in Florida where a lady couldn't crank her vehicle. Turned out there was a massive lizard wrapped up in the motor, had it choked off.

At this point, Florida should just change its name to "Jumangi"

That story was in a daily news blurb email I get. Said wildlife officials assume it was a pet that either escaped or was set loose for whatever reason. "Pet" my hairy stinking ash! A bite from one of them half that size would probably kill an elephant. What's a 6' monster going to do to a kid?
Fishing, a man knows a serenity of soul and peace of mind that he finds in doing nothing else, and it makes no difference whether or not he catches anything. The mind of a true fisherman is not on petty subjects.

A bite from one of them half that size would probably kill an elephant. Where do you guys come up with this stuff? They're not venomous. This isn't a Komodo Dragon.

I saw an episode on TV where a lizard like this bit a water buffalo in the achilles heel area and the bacteria from the bite and the water the buffalo was in caused the buffalo to die in a matter of hours. Lizard then went to town on the buffalo. (It may not have been a water buffalo but was something similar.) Found it on internet. May not be the same type of lizard but pretty interesting. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_C9BTW7Hxvw

Someone needs to shoot that SOB. Those things can kill a water buffalo. Not a Komodo Dragon....

They shouldn't worry about it. A twenty foot boa constrictor or giant python will probably catch and eat it.
Biden famously said in the New York Observer, “I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that’s a storybook, man.”

The Asian Water Monitor (which is what the florida lizard is) makes some really pretty boots.
