I'm headed there this weekend. Best place to stay? I hear there's a tournament in town and the guy at the Holiday Inn told me they were expecting a lot of boats. I just need a clean place and somewhere to plug my boat in. I was thinking about the Hampton Inn. How is the boat parking there?

I like the Ramada and its a decent breakfast. I was just there 2 weeks ago.

Don't know of anything big till Sept 15-16 (corrected), Permian SIT however Hampton is somewhat tight for parking only a few. Quality Inn Express has several parking area's for boat. Ramada is excellent. AF Marina has some also if you qualify. https://www.nps.gov/amis/planyourvisit/2018-fishing-tournament-schedule.htm

Maybe the guy at the Holiday Inn is getting his weekends mixed up.
I usually stay in a trailer home across the highway from Amistad Marine, but I also usually go with multiple people and split the cost.
