I was there Sunday. I had to back my truck about 20 feet into the lake to float my boat. Yep. I got wet.

I haven't fished that lake since high school ( a long time ago) but I hear about guys getting into em pretty good. I just have a hard time leaving my truck and trailer unattended at that ramp. I grew up in the OC and know the hooligans in that hood. Can't do it.

And had to walk up close for a better look. Haha. Wear hard sole shoes. There are sirenges and busted "40's" everywhere. Pitiful world we live in now days.

My yard guy was working nearby about a month ago and while he was in the back yard of a house somebody or body's stole his trailer and all his equipment. Took less than 3 minutes. A man's gotta eat, know what I mean. I know something like that can happen anywhere but that area caters to the shall we say the less fortunate.

Never an issue. Just plan on off roading before off loading.

Seems like there are usually 2 or 3 dudes just sitting in their cars, doing who knows what for hours at a time at that ramp. When one leaves, another pulls in and continues to sit there for a few more hours. I like to pretend while I'm out fishing, that they're all taking turns watching my truck and keeping each other honest so that none of them break in. Has worked so far...

my wife went to DBU and took night classes there for the past two years. Always wondered what the fishing was like there, and always worried about her getting to and getting home safely.

I know some guys that swear by the lake and catch good fish there. But I have a Lexus GX470 so that's a nogo on that lake. Gotta have a real truck to launch. But if I had a track I'd give it a whirl. Pool is a good lake and where I have my boat at the marina, but Saturday's are a train wreck. Gotta fish that lake during the week or in early spring or late fall. Rest of the time too many boats. I just keep my boat there because of my work schedule I need to fish in 2-3 hour increments.
